Regardless of what method you use, it is best practice to:

  1. Clean your timber floors once a week.

  2. Have mats both inside and outside of entry ways to reduce dirt and sand over the finish.

  3. Remove spills immediately using a soft wet cloth dipped in warm water, do not soak.

  4. Use soft floor guards on the base of furniture legs such as chairs and tables.

  5. Keep high heels and pet claws in good repair as these are a major cause of dents and scratches on any hardwood floors.

  6. Floor sealing every 4 years (approx) will maintain the finish with a resand every 7 years in medium traffic areas.
